Post Surgery Protocol
After the surgery the foot should be rested for 48 hrs and then the dressing removed.
Soak the foot in mild salt water (2 tablespoons to a liter of warm water) for 10 minutes and then pat the surgical site dry.
Apply a liberal amount of Betadine solution to the entire toe and then cover with Cutipast dressing, ensuring the dressing sits central over the wound site. Carry out the soak and dressing twice a day until the return visit. If concerned contact the clinic on 9576 9495.
Detox & Health Juice Recipe
Most toxins attack the liver and treatments like chemotherapy and strong antiviral drugs can also see the liver become stressed and unable to filter correctly. The use of juices allows the rapid absorption of minerals and vitamins while keeping the impact on the liver low.
An ideal juice is as follows:
6-8 young carrots (pre cursor to vitamin A)
1 fresh apple (green or red according to taste)
2 sticks of celery (strong anti inflammatory)
Quarter fresh beetroot (effective cleanser)
Use of Anti Oxidants
People suffering from joint pain and problems can benefit from daily intake of anti oxidants, these come from most fresh foods and can also be taken as a supplement.
The mine field out there can often cause confusion so keeping it simple is the best. An effective anti oxidant should be absorbed rapidly and then cleared from the body leaving no harmful residue. Calcium ascorbate is one such supplement and has the double action of free radical scavenger and calcium booster.
One of the most popular products is Ester C, this is rapidly absorbed and very effective in clearing free radicals. Free radicals are the waste products from cell destruction, damage and necrosis and include damaging enzymes such as lisome.
